Ashley is the best!

Besides being incredibly kind and supportive, Ashley is very, very helpful. Whenever I was stressed out, Ashley was always there to help me tackle whatever challenge or deadline I was up against.  She was also great at helping me get and stay organized, communicate with professors, prepare for classes and tests, get accepted into - and fulfill the requirments for my major and minor and GRADUATE!

Basically, Ashley is on your side and helps you through all of the details of school that can be difficult to manage on your own.  I highly recommend working with her!

In short, Ashley is the reason I got in to SMU and graduated in 4 years.  Without her consistent help and dedication to my personal and academic success, I would not have been able to accomplish what I did while in college.

Growing up with ADHD and dyslexia, school was always a struggle for me.  I attended several different schools and worked with many different tutors and academic coaches along the way and none of them ever was as understanding, empathetic, or helpful as Ashley.  She not only understood my struggles, but she believed in me and was able to teach me skills and strategies that enabled me to succeed in a way I hadn’t before.  I always knew Ashley was on my side and genuinely cared about me and knew what was best for me.  The fact that she was in my corner and dedicated to my success motivated me to be the best I could be.

I worked with Ashley 4-5 days a week for 4 years.  Meeting with her wasn’t something I dreaded like I had with previous tutors I worked with.  I actually enjoyed our sessions and learned a great deal about myself, how I learned, and life. Not only is she experienced and an expert in ADHD and learning differences, but she is patient, positive, and understanding—exactly what a struggling student needs.

I am very grateful I found Ashley and highly recommend her to any student who has ADHD or learning struggles.  She made a major, positive impact in my life and education, and I am happy to call her a friend for life.

Ashley was a life changer for me throughout my 4 years at SMU. She prepared me for my classes along with assisting in editing papers and managing my time wisely.

I don't know where I would be today without Ashley's help. She gave me the jump start I needed when I started at SMU; which clearly made a difference since I was accepted into the Cox School of Business my sophomore year.

Ashley has been a great friend and I am truly grateful for all the help and guidance she has given me.

I am incredibly grateful for the support Ashley provided me at my time at SMU. From the moment I met Ashley, I knew she truly understood and empathized with my struggles with ADHD. Aside from helping me reach my academic goals, Ashley was my greatest cheerleader. She truly believes in all her students and pushes them to reach their best potential. I could not have gone through college without her support. I highly recommend Ashley to anyone who struggles with learning differences!

Dr. Conklin had an immediate short-term and a profound long-term impact on my entire college experience.

Ashley helped me immensely with time management, organization, and writing strategies and drew upon her in-depth knowledge of SMU to design a balanced and achievable educational plan focused on my academic needs and goals. Her patient, supportive, and positive nature made it easy to develop a good working relationship with her that helped motivate me to reach my academic potential.

Ashley is THE ONE person you need on your side while attending SMU.

My experience at SMU would not have been as amazing as it was without Ashley. I was lucky enough to work with her through all of my four years and can't say enough great things about her.

Ashley is professional, efficient, extremely organized and patient, all while possessing a warm, friendly, and approachable demeanour. I looked forward to my sessions with Ashley because she not only helped me draft my papers and develop good organizational and study skills, but she also made schoolwork fun and was always very enjoyable to work with.

If you are willing to put in the time and effort and listen to Ashley's direction, I can almost guarantee that you will not get below an A on whatever she helps you with. That was the case with me. Regardless of the subject, class, or topic I needed help with, Ashley could tackle all of it with a smile on her face.

She will go above and beyond to make sure your finished paper or project is perfectly polished and worthy of an A+. I graduated Magna Cum Laude, and I only mention that because, without Ashley, that definitely would have never happened! Five stars, 100% recommend!

Honestly, I wouldn't have even come close to graduating from SMU if it weren't for the dedication,  support and accountability provided by Dr Conklin.

School did not come easy for me, and I struggled with ADHD and dyslexia throughout my school years. Ashley helped me develop study habits and taught me strategies for organizing my work and managing my time that helped me experience success.

Ashley is dedicated to helping her clients achieve their academic goals and reach their potential.  She is sensitive to their feelings and needs and does everything she can to help her students overcome challenges and develop skills for lifelong success.  I strongly recommend Ashley as a valuable resource for any student who is struggling or wants to reach a new level of success.

Ashley is the most helpful and caring person. She is so understanding and really helped me organize my time well and prioritize my school work meticulously so I could be successful at SMU.

She perfectly balances being professional while also making you feel like you're talkig to a friend. She is seriously the best and was the best tool I had in college!!

Working with Ashley was the best decision my parents and I made when it came to supporting my educational journey.

School was never easy for me, but with Ashley's support and guidance, I was able to learn the skills needed to become a successful student. Ashley provided much more than academic support. Along with teaching me critical organizational skills that positively impacted every avenue in my life, Ashley provided emotional and social guidance-both critical when living the college lifestyle. Ashley is an advocate for every single one of her students, and her students knew that she will always be there to support them.

I highly recommend Ashley as she is undoubtedly equipped to encourage every learner, despite their academic challenges, with the tools--and most importantly, the confidence--to believe in themselves and believe that they can achieve their own success!!

Since I was diagnosed with ADHD at a very young age I’ve been in and out of doctors' offices trying to find what and who worked for me. From day one, I felt comfortable and on the right track with Dr. Conklin. Together we developed organizational skills and coping mechanisms to help successfully navigate my education and career.

*Molly is currently pursuing her master's degree in Counseling at SMU and I couldn't be more proud of her!

Ashley is great at setting up her students for success at the beginning of the semester. I always felt confident about my schedule and preparation for the semester as one of Ashley's students. I still use many of the organizational skills I learned from her to this day. She's also great with class scheduling, graduation preparation, email etiquette to professors, and resumé writing!

Ashley was always willing to go the extra mile and really took an interest in my success at SMU, which meant a lot to me. She is a great person to have on your side during your time at SMU and I could not have graduated without her!

Nate Grossman

Cleveland, Ohio

After getting a 2.4 GPA during my first academic semester, I was looking for help and found Dr. Conklin. Over the last 3 years, she has been an advisor, a mentor, and most importantly, a great friend. She helped me stay organized and our weekly sessions helped me keep track of my assignments. Because of my time with her, I was able to achieve a GPA of 3.75 in my final 2 academic semesters (and my GPA went up each year). I cannot recommend Dr. Conklin enough, especially to parents of students who are struggling academically or are going into their first year of college. She is such a great person to work with and I will miss our time together.
